Can we have siege engines at somepoint in the future too? Having read the Conn Iggulden Genghis Khan series, they are important.

Hi,
This is my first post, so not sure if I'm doing it right.

I would like to pledge £30 for the new Mongols range, I'll work out the packs later.

Cheers,
Al

Hi Al, welcome to the horde  :)

I think one of the biggest wins for this pledgexperiment is the number of new recruits to the forum: myself included. Kudos to all at Pendraken, keep up the good work guys  =D>

We'll definitely look at getting those done as well.  The only reason that they've not made it into this non-KS, is because they'd need to fit into a different designers schedule, plus possible low-temp moulding, so I don't want to promise something which would quite likely take longer to reach production.  We'll get the bulk of the figures done and dusted for everyone, and then we can add more stuff a short while later.

Okay - I'm not good at resisting my lead mountain. And i know I will be tempted by more than 6 pack. Bump me up to 10 packs. I'll work out what i need whennI start to see greens or similar  :)

It's a good job I'm not running Pendraken. I'd wait for two months then put up pictures of the worst Mongols you have ever seen. Include the odd missile launcher or horses with six legs, slender ankles that will break at a lark's whisper, outrageous headgear that would shame a Spanish grenadier and something that obviously started life as a Zulu, and hasn't progressed much.

Fortunately, the Dark Lord and his cohorts are not prone to such practical japery. Although I have no interest in Mongols (my tastes currently being of a more mechanised bent) I am 100% certain that the sculpting dwarves will do their usual excellent job and the figures will be little bundles of delight in 10mm capsules.

I wish the venture well.

Not sure about getting the yurts (is it painful?). Any notions on design and/or cost yet?

Regards, Rob.

If we all add in our P+P it must be over £2000: does this count?   ;D

The 'generic peasants' sound good. I'd want a bundle of those as spear fodder for my Asian force.

Oh well he's hoping  ;)

Thanks for the extra pledges, total updated now.  We're currently at £1862, so we need a few more new pledges before midnight if we're going to hit the £2000 mark.

I need to do a bit more digging on the Yurts to finalise the designs.  From memory, they came in varying sizes, with the biggest being around 30ft across, and the average being 15-18ft.  So, we'd be looking at doing a few varieties, so maybe a 20mm / 30mm / 40mm diameter options?  That should give enough variety while not taking up too much space on the table.  Price-wise, we'll have to wait and see how much resin they take up, but I'd expect them to be somewhere around £5-6 once they reach retail.
