I was doing coaching as in "a bit like, but not mentoring".

On each day we have to "coach" each other through a problem. I've been partnered with a girl whose first issue was that she gets too emotionally involved with clients.

I'm working on a scenario that will have her in tears on day 4.  :d

Probably because he's been talking all day long and feels a little horse.

He'd better not try feeling our little horse.
She'd probably kick him into next week.  :D

True enough. He'd be a foal if he did.

Coaching - as in constantly asking questions, and never providing answers? I went on a coaching course, and it was quite odd, in that the coach claims to be able to coach anyone in anything as it's all about finding what's blocking them.
Personally I'm more used to a coach in the sporting sense of actually knowing stuff and being able to spot what you are doing wrong at a technical level and get it right.

Coaching - the art of persuading someone that the problem, far from being the underfunding, understaffing, under resourcing and undermining of a project by managers, is in fact the person themselves!

"Don't tell me what it's all about
'Cause I've been there and I'm glad, I'm out
Out of those chains, those chains that bind you
That is why I'm here to remind you ..."

I say chaps!

At what point does one become a Lt General (that's pronounced "Left-tenant")?

If it's 6,000, then Babycham and cherry brandies all round!

If not ... that I shall just have to step up my posting until I achieve rank!

Dude, put down the crackpipe - you ARE a Loo-tenant General!
Congratulations! I'll have an IC light.
Not sure how we missed it!

Babycham (which autocorrect insists is baby ham) is my new word for the day.
Time to push on to full general.

I thought you would be working on a scenario that meant she lost her underwear on day 4  :d
