I've got more chance of going a date with Kylie Minogue than getting any gaming-related gifts from SWMBO.....

And buying stuff for myself is just cheating/a little sad...

Perhaps there's a niche here for a service that takes a general order, chooses a specific item and sends it to you gift-wrapped, marked "with love from Santa"?  :-\
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Hey Dave,  If that saddens you, maybe we can swap?  I'll have Kylie, and you get a nice set of elevated silicon roads :)

I'm rather hoping for a large gift of motivation!!! that way I may get to start/finish the gazillion assorted Pendraken figures that I've bought over the past couple of years before I start buying more!! :)

Nosher

One of either the Star Wars XWing miniatures game and a few add on packs or a Dux Britanarrium Romano British force from Gripping Beast.

The very first wargaming gifts I have EVER had from my wife/family.  :-[

Now if it were the former, what do you think are my chances of getting in a game on Christmas day?
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Nosher,
Since I'm getting it for Xmas too, there must be a way we can get a game! ;)

A few unexpected expenses over the last few months means no goodies for Xmas for me :(. Kids and wife come first at this time of year. Mind you it's not as if I don't have enough stuff in the attic as it is!

I've asked Santa Harwood for an ACW army, but not sure if he'll bring me one. It's on the list ...  :-$

Ok, I managed to forget / lose the address of the company I got the silicon hills from at Crisis, and where I wanted to order my elevated roads from.  Does anyone know what manufacturer it is, where I can get those silicon (flexible) terrain pieces?

Tanks in advance  :D

Update to the Xmas list, since we cant physically get the pub until 1st week in Feb (he's due to be born 12th Dec) I just happened to stumble across an e-mail from Spartan to the missus confirming her order of two new Dystopian fleets. I is a happy bunny.  :D :D

General Bt Sherman

I asked Santa for a fully painted AWI army. I want just enough to do the full battle of Monmouth.  I don’t think I’m asking for too much.  :D

As for Aztecs, Santa's not enough. May have to do a deal with Satan on this one.

I seem to remember that human sacrifice was the key to success with Aztecs ?

As we're getting close to the festive period, I thought it was time to find out what's on everyone's Xmas lists, Pendraken or otherwise?   :-\

There are others   :o :-/ :-q X_X

Well..my parcel already arrived.

Some Vallejo Colours, Texture, bases for terrain...

Though admittedly I bought some Resin scenery and want to get more foamboard.  :-[

Feckin' Wayland Games :d :d :d :d :d

First time ever my wife gives in and tries to buy me something wargames related and she gets an email saying half of the stuff she ordered in mid november which was highlighted as in stock now mysteriously isn't in stock anymore...

Several emails later she is still trying to get a refund and several emails later they are still advertising the very same items as being in stock...

Even if she gets a full refund today there's next to no chance she will get the items elsewhere.

I have just opened my email inbox and there's a Wayland Flyer highlighting X-Wing miniatures as being in stock...

How do people get away with this sh*t???

Ring them up pretending to be a new customer, ask whether those items are in stock for you to order online, if they say 'Yes', then Bingo, you got them.  If they're not in stock, ask why the website shows them differently?

Did think of that one but they have no telephone number.

Infuriating >:(
