Here are a few pictures of the latest batch of Irish foot that I took recently:

MacDonnell's Regiment of commanded shot:


Montrose's complete Irish Brigade as commanded shot units:


Some Lancer pikemen on sabots which will be used to replace the two shot sleeves of a pike and shot battalia to portray an "all pike" armed unit, as appeared in the earlier phases of the War of the Three Kingdoms in Ireland. The shot are Pendraken on a spare sabot:


More pikes, all Pendraken this time for more "all pike" units:


Hmmm didn't see those unpainted base bits......as Mrs Shy always tells me "you must have your man eyes on"

Wood done on Peasants

Metal base coated and dry brushed on Peasants

Touch ups done yesterday morning

Most of the peasants washed last night

Most, but not all

Some of the peasants are bare legged and somehow I had managed to miss painting their legs  
I had missed highlighting them
I had missed them when doing the touch ups
I only noticed when I was washing them, fortunately I was able to wash the wash off them and have base coated them this morning

The remaining peasants are waiting for these to catch up   
Then they can all have their final dry brush and figure bases done at the same time

Sounds like they will be the cleanest peasants ever seen in seventeenth century Ireland. Or seventeenth century anywhere, to be honest!

Well the bare legged peasants are even 'cleaner' now

Legs were base coated yesterday morning and highlighted an hour or so later  

Washed yesterday evening just before I headed out for our regular Saturday game

Sorted and undercoated six regiments of Anglo-Irish Horse  

A couple more regiments are sorted but they will have to wait until there is room on my painting rods
