Two units of Gothic archers finished for Adrian(ople).

Tried to mute their colours compared to the warriors as lower status blokes.


However, high contrast hems makes them stand out!

After a conversation with Adrian, here are a unit of 'Goth' warriors


Each shield is a classic Goth Rock/Industrial/New Wave album cover, bonus points for each one you can name!


Top view to see the black (or very, very dark grey), again as 'flexibles' the two ranks have three to represent loose order or four for close order.


I went a little 'technogoth' on some details.


That is the 'Gothic Pride' flag, (LGBTQ+ goths are a thing you know) because I thought it looked really cool!




Goth general, actually a Forged in Battle general from their War & Empire kickstarted, this is King Krum of the Bulgars

Armourerered lancers


I know there is little evidence for Gothic catafracts, but it allows Adrian(ople) to distingush his superior cavalry in his army.


I do think these came out quite well!


These could hurt if they run over your foot ( I once lost a toenail to a horse treading on mine)!


Generals, using up more of the FIB War and Empire Kickstarter Generals special, in the very centre features Arthur as a heavy cavalry general and Attila on the right, escorted by two Hunnic heavy cavalry (Adrian also bought a box of PSC Huns)

Light horse - Adrian was collecting them that night, so the pva was still wet on the shrubbery.


Most muted of all the cavalry due to being less wealthy.


Fast, deadly at range, not much good in a stand up fight!
