This makes my 48 WWI Germans in 5 weeks look a bit rubbish.

Great again Paul!  Puts my 138 attached shot on 46 separate bases to shame. Ah well, now on to three small units of horse for the Royalists at Marston Moor, Rupert's Lifeguard, Porter's/Newcastle's Lifeguard, and Frescheville's Horse.

Glad it is not a race!  #:-S  ;)
I myself chopped off and swapped six heads, turned some muskets into half pikes and painted nine figures!  :O) <- I don't know what this means but like it's looks.
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on

Received the new ECW Artillery crew sculpts today, both the Scots and English versions.  They are lovely, with lots of character. Looking forward to painting them!

Metal work and most of the details done :)

Hands and faces base coated :)

Sabots assembled and painted :)

Both sides of bases painted, edges to do :!!

Next batch, four units of horse and enough commanders for the Montgomery scenario, prepared :)

Had a bit of a hunt for pictures of the various senior officers, now know hair colours for most :)
Due to portrait conventions of the time I know nothing about what they actually wore, they are almost all depicted in black armour ~X(

Montgomery is a great battle, not often units rally to fight again and win!
The other thing people don't appreciate is how steep the fields are the battle was fought over! Walked them many times as a kid, nightmare!
And the route up to the castle is even steeper!!!

Probably in the field most senior officers wore a buff coat and back and breast, both of high quality. Even C18th senior commanders had their portraits in full armour.

That was my thinking, I'll let my imagination provide the other colours ;)

Cut out some 40x40 bases to go under the commander's bases last night as I'd run out of other things to do

Also did some research on the Second Battle of Amman, September 1918, for the last of my WWI centennial series
