Mike mortars? Mortars that go underground! Why?

Mole Mortars.

But no idea why they fire them underground. The models would work just as well firing normally.

Last Friday's game, this was the setup:

"Your sages have discover that the Mad Mullah Akbar the Grey had discovered the Great Goblet of Effervescent Goodness and hidden it in his desert tower.

You must escort a team of Mages to ransack carefully search the tower to recover the Goblet before anyone else does so."

The sides were Empire vs High Elves. And this was the situation after the first Empire turn.

The Empire forces have crested the hill, while the Elves failed lots of command rolls...

This was the end game - the Empire forces have totally cleared the Elven right flank. Their Wizard got to the tower, but not with enough time to escape again.

It was a good game - the new home brew rules are working well.

Hello

Another great looking game. You really know how to torture a game-rule-aholic  :D. It's always a good sign that there's a sparsity of pictures from the middle of a game, it means you were having too much fun to think about taking pictures. Too many pictures means that the game's dragging and you have to fill in the spare time  :D

I like how there's not too many intrusions on the table, apart from command dice, as well.

Cheers

Looks very nice Fred.

Any game with elves in is good  8)

If they win - even better  ;)

We keep it simple, dice and tape measures. And the occasional army list. One advantage of having written the rules is that most of it is in my head so we rarely need to actually look something up.

Pike and Shotte

Got these chaps based up tonight.

The Shotte are EL3 Arquebusier in cabaret. The pike are a mix of EL and ECW codes (and probably some others). The wizard stand are various GW Warmaster Empire figures.

I remembered to mix some brown paint with the PVA on the back two stands which should help with painting the basing sand a lot.

It must have been hard to paint the Fishnet stockings....  ;D ;D

Sorry, couldn't resist. Interesting to see somebody else being pummelled by the spell check for a change.

Seriously, they look very good, are these (and the swordsmen) for your home grown rules as well? I'm assuming they are, going by the 40x40 bases.

Cheers

I'll try to supply a steady stream...

I think I will try to take some more photos of finished units against proper backgrounds - rather than the quick snaps on the painting table.

But quick snaps are easy!

So here are some latests additions to the banana Space Marines, some scouts and some Land Speeders

Who will get their first outing on the table tonight.

wow those are some amazing minis what line is that from?
