The Musketeers is getting to be a big favourite. The king is a right twonk, and we seem to be seeing a bit more of Constance.

Anyhoo. Watched a good documentary about the Battle of 73 Easting the other week on Quest (UK tv channel). As well as the usual film footage from the first Gulf War, commentary & views from historians and accounts from actual participants, it gave a blow by blow account using CGI - found it quite impressive. I think it might have been Episode 1 in the Great Tank Battles series. next episode is about the Yom Kippur war (bound to have Centurions/Sh'ot, fsn). On Quest, this Monday evening coming at 9.00 (10.00 on +1).
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Watched that too Westmarcher, I agree well worth a watch.

I say watched but actually mainly I listened while I painted and turned round occasionally for the cgi/ action bits!

Always happy to watch Constance....and to be fair the Queen (though she looks like she needs a pie)

Anyway I won't watch any sort of medical drama (product of growing up with a mum & sister who were nurses and insisted on watching Angels)

According to my wife I will watch "any old sh*te" that has tanks, ghosts, is underwater or preferably all 3.

Are you not fed up with underwater tank ghost programs? I got rid of the UTG Channel and don't miss it.

I took my (now ex-) wife to Bovington. Whilst I stood in awe of the Churchill AVRE, she opined "it's a tank. A green tank. Another green tank." It was at that point I knew our marriage wouldn't last. We hadn't even made it into the post war galleries!

Only thing I avidly watch at the moment is Battlestar Galactica. I never saw it first time round, and am too young to have seen the '70s show (though I did have a bedspread of it, back in the 80s).

I'm most disappointed at not being able to watch the Indian Premier League cricket this year, because bloody Sky has bought the rights! There was always plenty of sari-wearing eye candy to admire, if nowt else. 

Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

As a tip I would never recommend using a site like www.vipbox.tv ( mobile version) using the puffin browser ( flash capable) on my tablet then using a HDMI cable to make it run the feed on the TV
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Was given the box-set of that as a prezzie.
It gets rather confusing towards the end, when they try and get out of corners, they've written themselves into.
