More focused painting

Kiwis have had their 3-4 washes and will be highlighted later this afternoon

Turks are painted and touch ups are also done
First wash will be late this afternoon

The battlefield detritus has only a couple of colours left to do
Some touch up will be required, particularly on the Wolseley helmets, they are a bugger to hold while painting the main colour

A game tonight and the Cricket tomorrow night, a BUSY weekend

Its a great weekend, perfect depends on the result on Sunday 

Thanks, a productive afternoon so should get everything done in time or close enough. Being in Wellington means I don't have to allow shipping time 

Highlighting mostly done on Kiwis; webbing, hair and boots left to highlight

Turks are washed so they will be highlighted tomorrow

- a couple of missed brass bits and highlights to do on the webbing

Starting painting at about 6:30am yesterday and this morning helped

Turkish hair needs highlighting and they all could do with varnishing if the weather cooperates

Turkish hair dry brushed between innings 

Blackcaps about 70 runs short of a decent target

Mine is covered with bark mulch which helps slow the *%{#}%{*}^#% weeds down but doesn't stop them

An urgent request went out today, our painting group of 10 painters, has been asked to paint another 100 figures

I have picked up my 'share', 20 Kiwi casualties
Others are still working on their current batches

Fortunately these only have to be finished by next weekend

More like 8 miles, comparing the numbers of figures I've painted

Four solid hours has seen the 20 figures washed and the fortunately limited flash cleaned up  

I have even managed to glue on the 8 arms and 8 heads (5 different sculpts )
Blue tack and five minute araldite  

Fortunately I am working from home tomorrow and the forecast is good so should be able to get them primed and base coated (both sprays) during breaks

A thought that occurred to me at about 6:45am Sunday as I was starting to get into my painting rhythm...

At least I'm not standing to in a cold wet trench and no Mehmet is trying to kill me, compared to the troops we are remembering I've got it easy

Agreed,  quite a sobering thought.  

As for those who committed and didn't deliver,  if there are genuine reasons that's one thing,  otherwise: poor show!
