Noticed I missed the strap on the bread bags on one painting rod (about a dozen figures) will fix that tonight and paint figure bases green

It snowed enough to close the main highway through the North Island a couple of days ago     Lovely spring weather

Never think of North Island getting snow. South Island, on the other hand, looked prertty grim in 'Top of the Lake.'

There was still snow on the mountains when I went through from Aukland to Wellington by train just before Christmas 1977. And that was mid-summer.

Real life has got in the way a bit his week so limited progress 

Have also been diverted by an invitation to stage a couple of demo games at Valley Con, our local convention in January. Trying to decide what to do. So far options discussed include; AWI, 1914 France, 1915/1916 Sinai, 1915 Baltic (Naval), WWII, ...

As much as I like naval games, I think land games do make better demo games

There's certainly more spectacle in a land game - none of those acres of flat blue between the models.

I agree with challenge of cables of flat blue between ships, particularly after the age of sail when the ships are less spectacular and further apart
