Looking forward to the seeing the Sinai figures as this is a theatre I would like to get involved with, especially with having some Turkish ancestry.

Sinai is an interesting theatre of war, and one that seems sometimes to be under represented in wargaming. The only downside for it is the thought of painting lots of Cavalry and camels
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Recently bought a copy of ITLSU and have discovered that it is by no means a simple set of rules. Of itself this does not deter me, especially as I like the uncertainty of card driven games. However, unlike Dux Britanniarum, this set does not seem to have been proof read before being published, which has led to a lot of mental agility to untangle what the rules are getting at. It may be that I am a notoriously poor multi-tasker, but if I am trying to determine whether a plural is intended or if it is something belonging to something else, it sort of detracts from understanding what that particular rule is getting at. There are also words inserted that shouldn't be there and words that should be which are missing; the final annoyance being the dreaded apostrophe in a plural acronym. Several armoured fighting vehicles are AFVs, not AFV's, which means something belonging to one armoured fighting vehicle. Will still forge ahead with Middle East WWI, but wondered if you had noticed this in the rules.

We had indeed noted that the production values are not as high as some of the Lardies later rules. ;) Once you get past the 'cosmetic' challenges >:( the rules work very well and give a very good game. :D

If you PM me I am happy to send you a revised QRS I put together. It has two pages that covers the tables etc you need to play the game with supporting definitions. In addition there are two more pages that summarise the other main rules limiting reference to the rule book.

Thanks very much for that. Problem is I don't know how to PM or what it stands for.

You're indeed right about the production values, if you go back to Triumph of the Will which was the distant base for ITLSU then you can see that the rules were beaten severely with the 'Vagueness Stick'!  :D :D. Still an enjoyable set of rules but not with the gloss of their later offerings. Luckily there is a large and friendly support group on Yahoo that can sort out most issues.

Any chance of the revised QRS for ITLSU?

Cheers

We are certainly enjoying them and are a friendly enough group of players to deal amicably with the effects of the 'Vagueness Stick'.

Is there an ITLSU Yahoo group? I have found the TFL Yahoo group and while they are a friendly bunch they seem to be focused on big CoC  :o at the moment and my ITLSU questions get lost in the flood. ;D

Happy to share my QRS and to recieve feedback if you PM your email address. It is a bit more than a QRS, it aims to let us play based on four pages as we bounce from period to period. As a group we play about 6-8 rule sets semi-regularly so need a bit of guidance rather than just the tables  ;)

Have you tried the TFL forum? I found it much easier to follow than the chaos that is yahoo! Groups.

Thanks for the tip. Yahoo is a disaster area.

TFL Forum page on ITLSU is pretty sparse unfortunately...total of 18 posts on 7 topics compared to 7447 posts on 787 topics on their Chain of Command forum page......

WWII is not really my thing, but that set of rules is very, very popular with the WWII bunch.
