Burnt Njal certainly has one, according to Monty Python!

Mollinary

Considered by many to be the finest of the Icelandic Sagas, Brennu-Njáls saga tells a tale of men goaded into hasty action by trivial "insults" which lead to vengeance and blood feuds aplenty. Njal himself is burned to death in his house by his enemies and avenged in turn by his son.

Lots of scenarios for Dark Age skirmishes in the sagas if you're ever looking for ideas.
There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

The 1000 posts are the deed, which will see the hero (me  :-[) having persisted heroically against the odds (that would be you lot  :d :d :d) to attain his prize (the Centurion). The saga needs to be written to glorify the deed.

Unfortunately, the hero (me  :-[) will have to have a fall of some kind (probably make an arse of painting the Centurions) and end up dying alone and drink sodden.

I did once write a Homeric epic about my journey from Runcorn to Liverpool by rail. Seem to remember the "turd-green Mersey" featured a lot.

Runcorn - Liverpool is 17 minutes - and the Mersey is only visible on the rail bridge. Also it's brown, not green.

Ancient Greeks not too good with colour. I was reprising Homer's "wine dark sea".

It is only 17 mins to Liverpool, but when  you sat on Runcorn station every frickin' day for years, it feels like an odyssey.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Brilliant saga preamble, so FSN has a bard to record his deeds like all great heroes, when shall we hear the next part, or is that 'another story, for another feast'?

There is an FSN  dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between requests  and releases, between master and first casting , and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the proposed October release schedule
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Just out of interest.  How many will fsn have to buy so Pendraken break even?  Put him down for that many +1
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.
