I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't have the 25 posts required, since I don't post here much, but apparently I have, so here's my guess:

So no one smiley posts in someones painting tjread to show your appreciation?  I have been doing that when short on time.

That's still OK, but no one word replies spread over 10 posts, etc...

Are we allowed more than one guess? I'm guessing no....

Well, if we take it that the 100K post will be somewhere in December or January, that's about 60 days. With 24 slots per day, there's enough to go round for all forum members (assuming they are still active/read this thread/have at least 25 posts). But if we all start putting in several guesses, that may not be so. So on that count alone, multiple guesses seem to be out.

No, just one guess per member.  We've got around 300 members with more than 25 posts, and this should hopefully boost the post numbers on some of the less active members, so that'll leave enough slots to go around.

1930 ?  :-\  I'm  sure there were no internet this year !
:P

Ah yes, glorious 1930, when the first step towards the pendraken forum was taken in the way of the long distance forum pidgeons. Only drawback of those that jokes where very hard to make on the forum, as by  the time the pidgeon arrived, the pointe was almost always too late ...     =P~ =P~ 8-} 8-} =)

There's quite a few people, around 100, who have registered but never logged in at all.  Then we've got another 350-ish who have logged in but haven't posted as yet.  I've always assumed that they all joined as an easy way of receiving the newsletters and keeping up with the latest news.

Which leaves somewhere near 550 people who have made between 1-24 posts, which is quite a lot of folk.  Hopefully this will bring some of them out and posting a bit more!

The people that have registered but not posted may have registered so that they can subscribe to threads, and read but don't post. I read a lot more than I post. I've no idea why 100 people would have registered and never logged in, though  :-\

They still receive the newsletters, even if they've never logged in, so I assumed that's what they got out of it.  There's been a couple of occasions where I've started 'My First Post' threads to try and entice them in, with notices in the newsletters, but never many bites!
