Hi all, just after some more snaps. Rats this time.
I picked up a pack of Kallistra 'ratmen horde' but they look quite a lot bigger than expected to go with my other rats (from a certain now defunct 10mm range)
I'm assuming that they are 'large with polearm' and 'large with axe' FR1 & FR4, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?

Anyway I think they are a lot bigger than the others so I was wondering if the smaller rats are a better fit FR11 & FR12.
Anybody got snaps? Thanks.

Leon

The smaller ones are only marginally smaller, being around 9mm tall as opposed to the 11mm ish of the larger ones.  I'll dig about for some pics.

I have both larger and smaller based together and I don't see a problem with the scale. Not painted yet but I'll try to remember to put up a pic tomorrow as a reference.

Here you go.

Another shot on the blog --->http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/ayatollah-and-insurgency-rats-on.html.

I believe it shows (from left to right) small rat with sword and shield, large rat with sword and shield, small rat with scythe-spear, small rat, large rat, small rat.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: pic resized.

There really is only a very slight difference. More in heft than in height. They certainly don't look odd being based together.

Yep they look very similar.
Not at all a good match for my existing figures :(

Hi,

I bump this topic since I've got almost the same request.

I'm currently building my pendraken shopping list, but I'm not sure about a few references.

Since I want to build a regular troopers unit and elite units, I'd like to know the diferences (pic if possible) between FR1 "Large with polearm" and FR22 "Large armoured with polearm".

I also found a picture of polearm soldiers (I think), but I don't know the exact reference (FR1 or FR22?) :

Same question about "FR2 Large with sword"  and "FR21 Large with sword and shield" : What is the diference ?

Pictures I found are not clear on what they are. Once again, I found a picture, but I canno't say what they are (FR2 or FR21?) :

( By the way, any good advise on elite armoured troop for my ratmen army will be appreciated ;) )

I also didn't find any pics of FR23 "large slingers". I'd like to make some harassing units, and I'm hesitating with blunderbus troops instead. But I'd like to know how the  slingers minis are first.

That's the only points I didn't found an answer myself, I canno't finish my list and make my order :)

Thank you a lot !

For elite regulars, why not try the league of ratsburgh pikemen?

I already ordered "large armoured polearm" for this purpose. We'll see if they match my needs once I'll receive them ;)

I'll post pics of them.

Here's some pics of the "large armoured polearm" reference. Perfect for my needs (making an Elite troop for Rally Round the King ratmen army).

Great to see. I hadn't seen that little guy before.
