Three easy questions about the 'new' Republican Roman range

I have three quick questions:

1.  The Republican Romans would be perfect for the Punic Wars right?  (I'm assuming that's why both ranges have been redone "together")  I always get my Republican, Imperial, Caesarian, Marian, etc etc etc mixed up
2.  Other than Carthage, what other Pendraken ranges would meet the correct timeline for Republican Romans?
3.  About the figures themselves...most of the pictures show two sculpts per pack.  I have (and the picture shows) 3 velite sculpts.  Are there really two sculpts per in the other packs?

Thanks very much for reading!!

Republican Roman is a catch all term for Roman armies in the pre imperial era (before Augustus and families).
These would be best split into three sub periods (according to Phil Barker) known as:
Camillian Roman c500BC to end of expansion in Italy, still largly spear based.
Polybian Roman the three rank system of principes, trarii velites etc.  This is the army Techno has modelled. Fought from the Pyrric war through the Punic Wars up until the Sullan civil war in the hundreds BC, an army designed to be used by politicians and conquered the Mediterranean basin.
This is followed by the Marian reforms, which served Caesar, Pompey and Augustus well.
After that you get the classic Imperial Romans in logmentia Centaria armour, as popularised in Astetix.
Sorry about the badly typed reply, trying to get the youngest to sleep! Answer two: techno is working on spaniards, gauls and hopefully greek successors soob.

Thanks for the info Lemmey!

On the poses, the pics on the website show all the poses per pack, so it's mainly 2's, with 3 for the velites just for a bit of variety in the skirmishers.

The Spanish have been master moulded, due to start production moulds on those sometime in September hopefully.  And the Gauls are here as well, waiting to go into a master mould.  I think we'll probably hold onto those until the start of 2014 though, so we can get the Imperial Roman's nearer to being ready as well.

Phil/Leon will the new Imperial Romans be compatible with the old ones ie to be mixed on the same base. I have an army of the old ones already (the sculpts are nice) but would rebase them with new poses if they are all compatible.

thanks

They should be reasonably close, the Carthage/Repub sculpts have matched up fairly well with the older ones.
