No following that notion. DVDs of such "spread" cost you roughly 1 - 2 quid untill they are in the shop and sold. Which means total cost. So why in god's name must these distributors charge more than 5 quid at all? And why did "A bridge to far" cost me in the region of 25 ? Moreover why did I pay it  :-\

Can't have "A Bridge Too Far" without "The Longest Day". I can let you have a copy for a mere £29.99 (plus just £4.99 P&P).  It's Black and white, which is always more expensive. Takes them ages to remove the colour. Not only that, it's trilingual and all those subtitles. Very expensive to get all that subtitling typed onto the DVD.

I hope it works out OK, my only concerns would be how they've got it available before Amazon, and how they can sell it cheaper as well.
:-\

Well....
It's arrived....appears to be the real McCoy.....But like you say Leon "The hows" are beyond me as well. :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
And I have played the first few minutes of the first disc....and it seems fine.
Cheers - Phil.

Agreed (and I have it) as well as "The Bridge at Remagen" and "Die Brücke".

I am wondering why you are aware of these movies - there is no Centurion to be seen  :-\

Roland (who still has not handed Leon the mould.....)  :d

If all else fails, try http://www.tubeplus.me, they have all links for TV series (many complete) you can watch online for free. Just make sure you have some decent pop up blockers on the go (I use chrome with the better pop up blocker extension and it works a treat) I used to buy LOTS of DVDs (in my house our collection at the moment goes into several thousand!) but my kids kept damaging the disks, so I tend to watch much of my stuff now on the PC via streaming! (stick an HDMI cable into the telly and PC, and voila! big screen TV on demand for free!)
There is indeed series 10 of NCIS on there, which is good if your like me, not wanting to shell out on expensive boxed sets!
I would reckon you'll get your disks anyway, if the guy's a power seller or similar (they might just be hooky copies!) regardless, if you paid up by CC or paypal for your stuff and there's a problem  they always favour the buyer, so you will get a refund (Not so good to sellers though!)

Being married to a chinese and thus we have Chinese VoD  :d

Free of charge (even the footy!) and my PC has a 24 inches screen - my multi-vessel. I have no need for a TV, much less a licence for that blinking crap they show.....

Ah! Well my first love was WWII. The first game I ever played was a refight of Featherstone's "Action on the St James Rd". My favourite tank is, has always been, and always will be the Churchill.

*ahem* 34 days to go!

Thanks  Win.
I don't mind paying for 'sommat', if I really really like it. (And to me, this seemed quite cheap....On a different tack, I've paid fairly silly money for imported music CDs...That I had to have.....That's my obsession... ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D))
Box set was £18.......and for a couple of dozen 45 minute episodes I think that's more than reasonable.
Artwork on the cover is very crisp and clean/clear....piccy quality seems well up to par....sound is excellent.

ONLY thing that makes me that teeniest bit suspicious is the note on the back of the sleeve " Licensed for sale only in the U.S.A and Canada."
Do they produce any region 2 DVDs for use over that side of the pond ?
Maybe they do...I dunno.

Cheers - Phil
