I have been somewhat quiet over the last few days, though I have enjoyed observing your CoC fantasies.  Today, my best beloved daughter has left for the colonies to spend some months sampling their education system, and I am bereft. Still, she has left me the world's noisiest cat whose superpower seems to be shedding.

However, this massive family trauma has not struck me as much as the news that the next Batman is going to be Ben Affleck.  Surely this is contrary to all the rules of good film making? Does no-one remember "Daredevil"?  Let alone "Gigli" - the worst film since "Plan 9 from Outer Space". 

It will be a toss up to see if he will be worse than Val Kilmer.

... and not a mention of the "C" word, though my helpful signature says on 42 days (just 6 weeks) to go.
