Been struggling to paint recently real life work ect....needed inspiration and it came to me not divine but you tube, I found this i'd  seen it years ago, so I watched it again and low and behold (trumpets sound...  choirs of O:-) sang.... their sweet song filled the air, and through the tears I reached for the brushes) no not really I just enjoyed the video, got off my fat arse and picked up my brushes again started my 45' again.
Here's the link if anyone is interested

I think probably still the best depiction of events for a general audience.

Original docu drama at its very best in an age when producers were'nt afraid of tackling difficut issues head on, fantastic to see it again and thankyou for posting. I f you have'nt already seen it please check out "The Wargame", a shattering account of what would happen if 1960's Britain experienced a limited nuclear attack from Russia. Evidently the images and conclusiions it suggested were so shocking it still has never had a general release in the UK. For a person growing up in the 80's and remembering "Threads", I found it truly shocking but amazing at how it approached the subject. Sadly tv seems to lack the bite shown by both programes. Peter Watkins, an outstandingly brave director.
