Hi All

My son, Michael, is currently in the middle of seeking to break the world record for drumming along with 16 others at Nexus Trust in Coventry. Thet started at 9.00am BST on Saturday and hope to finish at 9.00am on Tuesday. Yes 72 hour - ruddy mad!

Nexus have set up a live feed on Facebook so people can send words of encouragement to them.
I appreciate that you don't know him (or me reall for that matter) but I am sure that they would value any words of encouragement.

Thanks everyone. >:<

Less than 12 hours to go but his right wrist is in a bad state. He's stubborn, though, so I think that he'll make it.

They did it.

They were planning for 72 hours (previous record was 66) but decided to stop at 71 as two of the team were looking a bit iffy and they wanted everyone to achieve it rather than have two feel left out.

Rather a proud dad moment.

Perhaps now is the time for the joke that's been in my head since first seeing this thread....

Q: What do you call someone who hangs around with a bunch of musicians?

A: A drummer
