Thanks for the review, glad you liked (most of!) them!

I think this highlights the differences between the two types of sculpts we've got in the Fantasy ranges.  There's the original ranges, which we purchased back in the beginning, like the Dwarves, Orcs, Gnomes, Hobgoblins, etc.  I've no idea who sculpted these figures to be honest.  We then started getting new sculpts done, to replace these older ones, such as the Barbarians, Goblins and the various Elf types.  These were all sculpted by Mark Evans, a local guy who does work for Crooked Dice at the moment.

I am tempted over the next year or so to split the Fantasy into two separate sections, one with the newer, better sculpts, and the other with the 'Old School' ranges for want of a better term.  I'd like to make new army packs as well for all of the ranges, all standardised to a single / dual price point.

As for the Gnomes, I've never understood why they look like that either!

I like all of them!   :D

The only thing i tend to dislike about PD figures in general is:

1.  When it'd be nice to have various poses and there aren't.
2.  Bows.  Usually WAY too stubby and small

Very good review - lots of nice photos, can you add them to the main Pendraken website using the Disqus thingy?

It's interesting to read that you prefer the big head dwarfs, whereas my preference is the hill dwarves - which is why two ranges are good!

The 3 rock creatures go together quite nicely and paint up very fast and look good at the end. I know what you mean about the face on AC26 but it looks better painted.
