With apologies....

To all those I'm dealing with at the moment by PM and email.
Might be a couple of days before I get back to you.
Had to have the eldest dog put to sleep very early this morning...and I don't feel my best just now. :( :( :( :(

Cheers - Phil.

Yeah my sympathies mate, I remember the state I was in when I had my last one put down, I think I cried for 3 or 4 weeks.

Sorry to hear Phil, we've had to do that a few times over the years with family pets, and it's never easy.

My sympathies phil!

Hope he had a long and joyfoul life! I don't doubt the last one though  ;)

Well Kev when mine went the refrain around our house was "no more pets!!", I think I lasted 3 weeks, we now have 2 Golden Retrievers, one 3 months, one 19 months, eating us out of house and home. You can see them in their "normal" pose in my avatar, yeah thats right looks like their eating each others heads, but I'm assured that thats quite normal "mummy" and "puppy" behaviour for them, a weird breed we went with.  :-\ :-\

sunjester

Sorry for you Phil, it's always a hard time when you lose them...but I still would not be without them!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.....Very much appreciated.

He wasn't completely ancient as far as Labs go.....He was 12....But yes...We like to think he had a smashing life, although he was just starting to show his age a little bit.
I think it's a little easier for myself and the wife as we still have the three younger Labs to take our minds off things a bit.
Strange how they seem rather subdued at the moment.

Thanks once again - Phil....(I'd better start looking at all the other posts now.....Stroll on, you've been busy.)

Squirrel

My sympathies too Phil, it's hard loosing one of the family :( but I'm sure he had a good and full life.

Best wishes from me and the wife mate.
