Hello All

Yes my Chinese experiment has come up trumps. The 1/150 Zhong Shan gunboat has arrived today.

The model itself is not labelled as Trumpeter but has the same artwork. It's listed as WSN but the parts look identical to the Trumpeter reviews I've seen. All 17 inches of her!!!!! :o So it won't be zipping around a table. I've just had a quick look but the secondary weapons will have to be replaced - look more 15mm than 10mm. Parts are free of flash and I'm looking forward to building it. Will have to take the motor out so I can cut it down to waterline (YES It's motorised, I knew I should have got 2   #-o ) Somebody mentioned where to get 1/144 ships' fittings but for the life of me I can't find my bookmark of it. Anybody got any clues out there. Was it you James/Sunray, I'm pretty sure you had one of these too?

I'll have to come up with a good generic paint job so it can do multiple duty for various nationalities, a lot of eastern European nations had river monitors/gun boats too :).

Looks pretty cool, especially for the price! Make sure you post photos when she's painted up!

Cheers,
