Leon, can that fantaboulous machine of yours make these?

or these

???

Reason I ask is that I live about 40 miles from those guys and I really feel that £4 postage on an order of £8 (less than a dozen bases) is taking the piss somewhat.
I payed it because I needed the bases to get my 15mm Dux Brittaniarum project going, but I'm now thinking about the bases/figures doing double duty as units in Dux Bellorum and I'd rather not get gouged again. Its the old story of fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Not that fussed whether you stick them together or I have to do it myself. I do think that theres a market for you here by the way, I'm sure the other guys on the forum can find uses for movement trays.

Movement trays are definitely one of the things on my Minibits To-Do list, and I'm hoping to get to them sooner rather than later.  In the meantime though, I can cut any sizes you need, no bother at all.  If you could pop me an email through the Minibits site, with the dimensions/base sizes you need, I'll get them sorted out for you, no bother at all.

Oh yeah, I could do with some of them for my 15mm's, I shall have to get some of those 1p trays when you,ve done em! I have always used 1p's, its nice to know others do the same,! my wife says I'm mad putting figures on pennies and Im wasting cash! Typical woman! :D

Yeah she'd rather you paid Leon £1.10 for 20 20mm circular bases.  :o

Leon thats a future project, at the moment I have enough bases for my starter warbands, and I'm hating the fact that it takes me about 10 times as long to paint a 15mm mini than it does to paint a 10mm figure. Dont ask me how much longer it takes me to paint a 28mm one.  :-[

I know, I even tell people this when they're buying the 22mm circular's (which are sized to exactly match a 1p coin...), but they still buy them!   :-bd

Just starting to get things moving on these Gordon, so looking for some feedback if poss?  Does the thickness of the MDF make any difference to people?  I've seen some companies using 3mm thick MDF for the top piece, to allow for the thicker depth on GW-style slotta bases?  It'd be a lot easier from a production standpoint to do them in 2mm, both base and top?

Warbases bases are 3mm mdf and imo they are too deep for anything other than 28mm (which to be fair they are primarily designed for).

I'd still like to see 3mm deep bases with 2p slots as an option if you were to do them Leon, but equally I'd buy 2mm deep for my 10/15mm projects.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Just out of interest, where did the Ä in front of the pound signs come from? (mine was deliberate).
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

2mm deep recesses would be the best fit for coins or standard 2mm MDF bases so that makes sense to me.
If 1mm base (making 3mm total) is possible it would be nice, but I'd be happy with 2mm.
Sadly no longer with us - RIP (2018)

I like them with cardboard on the base and 2mm mdf for the top.   Reduces the thickness by about 1mm.

Leon

I'll get cracking on the 2mm types then, and I can always offer 3mm for those who want the thicker top layer.

Mine are based on 1p coins as well so this will appeal to me as well. Also when the zombies come out theyll come in handy! Just for the record i base 28mm on 2p coins! :)
