Hello,

I'm Steve and I am a long time mini junkie, but I do not game much. I have not found my particular gaming niche so to say.

I have the regulation "ton of lead", both painted and not painted.

I am interested in fantasy related RPG's with mini's and related mass field combat. I am trying to discover a RPG/Ongong Political campaign. I guess the best way to describe it is to follow the adventures of Frodo or Gotrek and fit them into a campaign in which boardgame and miniatues would support each other.

Translate board movement with miniatures. Example: A counter of orcs move into a hex that has Frodo in it (unbeknownst to the orcs) and translate that to a skirmish scenario with miniatures.

Still working on finding a system and deciding scale. I figure mass battles would be 10 mm and skirmishes or small PC and NPC encounters would be 28 mm. 10 mm would be great for both, but to be honest there are a very large number of potential PC and NPC in 28 mm than there currently exist in 10 MM.

GW's Mighty Empires has the potential, but collecting, painting, etc. tiles is more laborious than it really needs to be. The rules would probably work as a basis for the "campaign" mode, but not for the PC/NPC interaction made.
