Bloomin' 'eck !

Don't think I'll try that again in a hurry !

Walked about 800 yards up the road to take a few piccies....A handful of drifts maybe a couple of foot high, where the snow had been blasted off a field and through a gate....No-one else as stupid as me outside...No sign of any tyre tracks...

Decided that was far enough....(I wasn't going any further to see if the road was completely blocked, like it was a couple of years ago, where there were 5-6 foot drifts for perhaps 200 yards.)
Hadn't realized until I turned around, that it hadn't been too bad walking away from home.....'Cos the wind was behind me.
Coming back....I couldn't see a sodding thing, as my specs were being plastered with snow....and it suddenly seemed to be another 10 degrees colder.

Did notice a couple of people in cars trying to make it into the local village.....Hmmmm...I reckon a tractor would have a chance...But I'm not sure about even a 4x4.

It's SO good to be back inside the warm.

I nearly forgot....In the morning.....The 'huskies' usually take themselves for a run around the fields for 20-30 minutes before condescending to come back.
This morning they were back after about 2 minutes......Wimps !

Somebody'd just poked a flyer through my door advertising garden services. Now that's what I call optimism! 

Right, after a careful cycle ride home, it will be a case of clearing the drive and paths to the house, and then fingers crossed get to play in the snow . However the snow has eased off here and looks a bit like sleet now .

Just had 20 minute break duty with all the kids telling me when they were going home and when school will close...

Wish someone had told me! 

I'll be telling Dave I'm finishing early as well, got some computer work to catch up on, so going to do it in the comfort of my own home, with the Boro game on the TV!   

Almost stopped snowing over here....But not quite.
Wind's still blowing the damn stuff off the fields and dumping it in the road.....Deep joy !
Wouldn't be able to get out of the drive anyway....So that's irrelevant really.
Just SO looking forward to going out and feeding the sheep later !

Sitting at work. Hardly anyone here; no students, no tutors. The powers that be appear to have decided that the College will NOT close.

So roll on 5pm. Darkness, snow, traffic jams, etc.

Bitterly cold here now with a strong easterly wind blowing. The cycle ride home was interesting to say the least until I was able to get onto something akin to a main road. All other roads were compacted snow and as slippery as ice. Cycle paths were treacherous! Damned glad I don't have to get to work until Monday afternoon now .

 

Good job the predictive text got the name of the road correct!

Me I got to attend a job interview in Riggers and jeans, and managed to bget there 1/2 hr earlier than wanted.
Location of interview - Boot Hill, 5 mins walk from a Merseyrail station.
