Thats interesting I didn't know that about green die. I new that darker colours where higher status and black veary high status. I supose if thay are warriors with all the kit I could argue they are high status and wealthy.

Lovely stuff Benjamin.  The Chi Rho in particular are well done.  Are they freehand?

Green dye

Aye, its counter-intuitive that green dyes are rare, after all plants are green right?   ;D

Red and yellow appear to be the most common colours used, as presumably were undyed 'calico' or 'grey'?

Luddite thanks for the link, the green die has defiantly been filed in the folder things you wished you had known before you started painting an army  :)

Yup the Chi Rho are all free hand, it worked better on some than others but over all I’m happy with the effect. when there on the table the odd messy one doesn’t stand out that much.
