Hi

Looking for something I could use my VBCW,etc forces on as a side venture, I came across the Ecuadorianâ€"Peruvian War 1941.

Seems tailor made to use some of the early WWII and WW1 troops I'm collecting, with French and Italian style infantry, artillery, armour and aircraft.

May have to rebalance the sides for a decent hitout but it looks like it could be fun. Especially the first paratroop assault in South America, including the one Peruvian trooper that was rescued from the drink by an Ecuadorian fishing boat  :D

Thanks for this Grumpy. I could use a lot of my existing forces for this for something just a little bit different.

Hi Steve J

I had another look at this and it appears that it turned into a guerrilla war so maybe Vietnam style rules with a 30s/40s slant might be appropriate as well. Lots of possibilities  :).

Adrian English, the leading author on South American military, is bringing out a book on the Peru-Ecuador war 1941, I saw a few days ago somewhere...
