Cheers - Phil.

Sounds awfully familiar, went throught the same deal earlier this summer.

Oddest mail mishap I`ve had was a pack with a couple of Afghan carpets I shipped home on on of my tours to the Mrs, a couple of weeks before I went home on leave.

I was told by the postmaster that there was delays in the mail in and out of A-stan, so I didnt take to much notice when it hadnt arrived when I came home but when I got back in-country, I got a pick-up slip for a packet.

That was indeed for the carpets that had been home. The PO had not sent out a pick-up note, nor a copy, while I was home and the carpets followed me back on the same plane as I was returning on.  :o ;D

The Postmasters works in mysterious ways or some such stuff... :D

I had a packet last year within the UK with some samples that were ordered. along with a rules set, in April  2011.  The rules arrived and I assumed the samples would arrive in due course.  I then forgot about them - only for them to turn up in I think July 2011 with an April postmark.   Recently the only thing that hasn't turned up was the original UCAS confirmation letter for my daughter's university place last month - no idea what happened to that but the replacement arrived fine so all was well.
