I was in my local Hobbycraft in Dundee yesterday and they have a sale on of the really useful boxes and trays.

The 9 litre box was £4.12p each and the trays to go with them are £1.79 each a major saving, needless to say I bought a pile  :D

This seems to be a regular fixture with Hobbycraft, my local store has had a similar deal on about 3 times in the past 18 months. Each time I fall for it and think "Bargain!", forgeting how many I'd bought the last time the deal was on! :o :( #-o

I ordered some stuff online from Hobbycraft, the boxes arrived within 2 days, very good service. And over £30 it's post free!

Problem with Hobbycraft is they charge over the top for pretty well everything - so their sales tend to be not much below normal prices.  >:(
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Still about a quarter less than Staples! Ridiculous what they charges in there for everything, can't see how they stay in business.

Even at full price I've found Really Useful Boxes cheaper at Hobbycraft than Staples!

I use them quite a bit for cetain items as they are convenient (just 5 minutes walk from me), sometime they are cheaper, sometime more expensive. I do buy spray paints for undercoating because they are just about the only place around here you can find them. I've seen them cheaper online, but not for just one can after you add in postage.

Hobbycraft are the cheapest I've found in the UK for Really Useful Boxes.  25% off makes them even better value.

I bought a load and got £5 more off using one of the coupons they have in their magazine (magazine costs £1.99 and has three £5 off spends of over £25 coupons each valid for two months)

Major bargain.

Another 10mm gamer in Dundee!? - I thought GordonY was the lone wolf (of 10mm goodness) in my hometown..

Alas Andy AKA Old Smokie lives in the Pictish city of Brechin, at the moment at least, currently hoping to move to civilization (or Dundee) if he can find a suitable house.

You in Dundee Rubicon, if so we could maybe hook up for a game sometime :D

That will make three of us then, 10mm gamers are an endangered species around here ;D,

finding a suitable house maybe in this life Gordony,  CO keeps changing her mind  >:(

Because most stationary is purchased by businesses.

It never ceases to amaze me how much my company is willing to pay for biros and paperclips from the 'approved supplier'.  Ripped off doesn't begin to cover it.

Totally agree luddite, I think most businesses walk around with blinkers on.

I remember working for one company and finding a supplier that was 50% cheaper than the approved one and was told "cant use them their not approved" I asked why can't we approve them then and save the company some money the reply I got was a rather terse "we will be sticking with the original no matter what" ~X(.  beggars belief sometimes

Unfortunatley Andy Bob now resides south of the border, but on the upside I should have my 10mm Nappys done in a fortnight or so  :D

So they'll be appearing at some point soon, to try out the new Ganesha rules.
