Olympic sports you wish they would show more of

Every 4 years we see a load of sports that we rarely see.  Which ones do you wish were on telly more.

Personally I like the Velodrome - though they have started to show a bit more, I love the Elimination races - every two laps the person in last has to drop out- this leads to a insane sprint in the last 100m of the lap.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

The cycling and swimming are certainly ones that get you on the edge of your seat, especially the sprints with the cat and mouse thing going on.  I quite enjoy watching the shooting as well, which isn't something you see on TV much.

Thinking about it, I actually like most of them, and would happily flick between most of the events given the chance!

I've enjoyed the Handball - shame it isn't a bigger sport in the UK really. Good to see hockey getting some coverage too.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

You do have the choice.  Red button if you've got satellite or on the Internet.

24 channels on each showing live feeds from all the sports on any given day.

It's a very long time since I've watched so much sport! I'm not getting much work done with web access  :D

If I to pick one sport I'd like to see more of it would be rowing, but swimming, beach volley ball (ladies only please) and heptathlon are on the list too ;)

Cheers,

Kev

I've got those, but you can't record them, so they're pretty useless to me when I'm at work until midnight most nights...  :'(  I've been making do with the highlights program each night so far.

Fencing and cycling for me too.

I was also a sabreur in my youth - taught by the schools liaison team from the 4/7 Dragoon Guards...

Hertsblue

Badminton and hockey - used to play them both at various times. Thought the women's football was impressive too (yes, Nosher, my kind of Kissball!)  ;)

While i've consistently and systematically avoided watching any of these running about in their pants type activities, i think we should definately see more varied sports coverage.

I'd cut coverage of the 'Beautiful Game' (there's a catastrophic misnomer if ever there was one) by about 99% and replace it with, for example;

- Women's football (FAR superior as an enjoyable game to watch)
- Archery (field & target) / shooting (target)
- Kabbadi
- Sumo / Kendo / other martial arts
- Bowling (10-pin)
- Wargames
- Etc., etc.

I'm not very interested in sports, but the womens' high jump caught my eye.

This - I am told - is Ariane Friedrich after her jump. Has her boyfriend dug her out yet?
