Hi all

As you may be aware, War games Illustrated 297 (July 2012) has a really cool article in about Jochen Peiper's Kampfgruppe in the Ardennes forest. It come with a 3 nice maps and special rules for playing the scenario. It is designed for Flames of War :'(, BUT us lot being BKCII fans, couldn't let the FOW people have all the fun! ;D
SO us at Section 8 club, could not let this ready made excuse to knock the dice out of each other pass without trying it! ;)

The Scenario itself plays over three tables, this is good because it lets you decide the pace of play. If for example you only get a few hours to play your games at friends house or if you go to a grate war games club (Like me at SECTION 8 :D) you can use it as a three week campaign. The idea is that a tank heavy :d SS kampfgruppe has to plough through three tables of steadily stiffening American Resistance. Then by Table 3 its a full blown battle with American reinforcements pouring in.

I will be posting a Battle report with pictures as soon as I get it made!

is there any way you could send me the details as we have a lot of the younger guys thinking of not going FoW but to rapid fire which is what we play. a smallish campaign would allow everyonr to participate and hopefully get a few converts

as i went to the news agents and they dont stock that mag.

even if you could scan the outline i could send you my email - sounds too good to miss

Though Not free, Battleground WWII has a sceanrio book called Keys to the West.  There are many lovely interlocking maps.  Several large maps with 3-4,  4x6 tables all connected together.  I always liked the maps felt they were worth the price but they used points to buid forces for each side.
