It was quite an interesting day today with 12+ tornadoes spotted in the area. I posted a video of one of the tornadoes lifting semi trailers in the air and tossing them like toys.

Luckily there have been few injuries and no deaths. I spent most of the afternoon in the secure area at work listening to what was going on around me on the radio.

Absolutely terrifying. Makes most of our problems seem like small beer.  #:-S
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

BLIMEY!
Why do Tornadoes always aim for trailer parks?

Glad you are ok Tom, just too close for comfort.  Is your home okay?

Shecky

We're fine. The tornadoes were east and west of us.

Here's a picture of the storm clouds.

Good grief ! :o
That's what I call a 'spectaklier' (sic) cloud formation.
Also very pleased that you didn't suffer, Tom
Like Ray says..makes our problems pale into insignificance.
Mind you....Hasn't stopped me from moaning that it's 20 degrees colder than it was this time last week.....
Cheers - Phil.

And I thought 2 inches of snow overnight was bad...  :o

I'd love to see a tornado one day, a proper twister, but definitely at a safe distance.  :-\

Not yet nicked the pic for AVBCW Storm Clouds Gather, then Nik? Would make a nice backdrop (if Shecky don't mind).  8)
Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

I didn't take the picture. It came from http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2012/04/you_might_say_it_was_cloudy_ye.php

Go down to the Midlands - they get dozens, I'm told. However, they're all about a foot tall and last seconds.  ;)

Nah, that's no good, I get bigger than that when I let the water out the bath!   :D
