Hi All

Needed some 1920s/1930s cars for VBCW/ImagiNations so thought I'd try out some P&D Marsh N gauge cars. N gauge is nominally 1/150 so I thought it would be ok.

Unfortunately when they arrived they seemed a deal smaller, closer to 1/200 by my measurements. Actually they seemed small compared to some American N scale I have which are ~1/160. The cars themselves are beautifully sculpted and cleanly cast but are just too small.

Does anybody have any recommendations on other types of N Gauge/N Scale cars/vans that might fit in with Pendraken? I have some of RPHobbies/Lineside but they are mainly American subjects, and being N scale are still a bit small.

Cheers

Hi Vic - Gem railway models do some pre war British vehicles - also there is another 10mm manfacturer that has a good range of 'staff cars'. They fit well with Pendraken .

Hello Sunray

Yes I had a look at the Gem cars and some might work. Thanks for the pointer. I also had a look at Oxford diecasts and there might be some usable there too, looking at the buses, trams, trolleybuses, taxis and horse boxes. I also came across some other N gauge vehicles including a Reliant pick up van which I'm going to merge with the VBCW Lewis gunner and try for an AA or assault vehicle.

I might try some more from Lineside, the American N scale supplier seeing they're larger than N gauge P&D Marsh  :-\.  The Austin 7 I bought is not too much out of scale so I can hide it at the back of a command stand, the Morris van however is going to be buried in debris as part of a barricade  :'(.

Cheers
