What we really need are more mailed spearmen.  Spearmen are the infantry core of medieval armies until the pikemen show up.  You need tons of them.  Unfortunately, there is only one spearman figure for the medieval timeframe.  It is a good figure in standing relaxed pose but if you have many units in exactly the same pose, it gets kind of monotonous.

We have a decent variety of bowmen but lacking on the spearmen.  There is also quite a few figures that can be used for spearmen without armor.  What is really short are the mailed spearmen.

So my vote is for three or four new poses for mailed spearmen.

There are several medieval spearmen, surely? N2, EMM4, SAM19 (you may need to cut the yari a bit shorter).

Well, the Samarai SAM19 has a spear but not sure he would pass as a European spearman.  The dark age N2 could work if I could replace the spear without too much trouble.  That line has the thick spears which would stand out amonst the regular medieval line with their slimmer spears.

I have the EMM4 and it is a nice figure.

And now that you mention it, converting some of the bill or pike figures might not be too hard.  Although they are all armored as late medieval or renaissance rather than early/mid medieval.

PS:  I bought a pack of the EMM4 last year and painted up about half of them.  I just looked at them again and noticed there are two poses.  That is a big positive.
