Hey nikharwood can't wait to see some of those projects especially the WWI Middle East, Finns and the secret projects. I am always amazed at how quickly you get things painted and ready to game. Some really interesting stuff in everyone elses plans as well. I have been thinking about 1930's British Civil War in 10mm and would love to see more pictures and what people do with this project. May motivate me to get started.

As for myself trying to limit things this year. Would be happy if I get some of the following done in 10mm all in pendraken figures of course:

1) Austro-Prussian War
2) Russo-Japanese War
3) Start SCW

It will take some time but I will get stuff up on the blog when done:

Like many others I would just like to get any project finished, so with that in mind I think my projest list for the year will be

ACW then WW2 fallschirmjager, then whatever shiney new thing takes my fancy, but that still leaves ww2 early forces both german and austrailian, a half finished british napoleonic division, loads of half started ww2 allied projects, a ww1 project that is still unbuilt.  The reasonably new GNW project not yet fully purchased. Too many.

hope everyone had a great festive period and good luck in the new year.

has anyone ever actually done this?

I really must crack on with my 1818 Army of the Andes, although the possibilities of a Falklands range combined with an Argentinian father-in-law to annoy is awfully tempting...................................
and there's that New Kingdon Egyptian project.........
and some Republican Romans...............
and a few Arab-Israeli bits............
and..........
and..........
so on ad infinitum  :(

In no particular order:-

1)  Organise my life better so that I can paint little and often rather than having to wait for holidays to blitz my lead pile.
2)  Finish converting and painting my Pendraken 10mm fantasy stuff.
3)  Start doing a bit more regular sculpting (got the bug after the 2011 competition).
4)  Finish off painting and selling off my 28mm fantasy and pulp stuff.
5)  Start painting the 15mm scifi stuff I bought last year. [I had vowed only to game in 10mm but Critical Mass Games and "5150 New Beginnings" caught me at a week moment].
6)  Make a bit more 10mm and 15mm scenery.
7)  Tinker with Warrior Heroes:: Armies & Adventures.
8)  Game a bit more.
9)  Try to keep the wife and children happy and feeling loved while attempting all of the above.
Life is too important to be taken seriously.

I try and paint for an hour or so 3-4 times a week, which does make a difference to progress on the painting front.

1. Plan and fight a fictional campaign in 1930s era Latin American war  as opposed to skirmish actions.

2. Conceptualise an 1870s FPW era Prisoner of Zenda scanario as a demo game   Painting almost finished. Thanks to speedy Pendraken delivery before Christmas.

3. Finish my terrain tiles, now scaled to 10mm 1/150 scale. in a genre that will allow a degree of interchange between scanarios 1 & 2.

4.  Part with hugh amounts of 15mm lead. (AK47 era modern)

My goal for 2012 is to paint up another 400 bases of American Civil War Infantry. That’s 1600 figures total.

Continue crafting my own Tyranids for Epic 40k and painting+basing them

10mm

Finish my Tomb Kings army for Warmaster (where nearly all of the infantry is Pendraken's)
Maybe starting Empire

28mm
Repaint my Witch Hunter Warband for Mordheim.

Maybe too much work, but my priority is 10mm, love the scale and the prices.

Plans for  2012 time allowing

Lots of 10 mm scenery
roads, rivers, hedges, walls, barb wire, tank traps, snake fencing, and a whole range of buildings, etc

And finally to start painting the many world war two, German and Russian Pendraken figures collected over several years

However, like a lot of people I have complicated matters by starting another project before im halfway through the first I couldn't resist Pendrakens ACW range, and now have six army packs to complete :o

Disaster on the 7YW front, I finished the cavalry off but when I put all 5 nice shiny regiments in the box I realised I'd miscounted my infantry...

I'm at least 6 battalions or Prussian short of what I need so it's Prussian Infantry time  :'(

Also wifey has said I can go to the Pendraken 20th Birthday bash so I need to design a WW1 game and make the scenery.

My plans for 2012 "hope the myans are wrong"
1: paint my massive pile of lead before the above?

Jagger

My plans this year will focus on three primary areas.

First, build a corps each of 1809 French and Austrians plus supplements for use with Le Feu Sacre.

Second, work on additional American Civil War units when the new figures come out.

Third, rebuild my American War of Independence armies.

Also want to keep experimenting with milliput, work on terrain and I am sure, a few spontaneous miniature projects.

Enough to stay busy....   :D

1 - Post something in the Pendraken forums instead of lurking (looks like Ive just completed that one)
2 - Sell off the mountain of 25mm lead - seriously there is tons of it!
3 - Use funds from 2 to buy oodles of 10mm Pendraken Napoleonics
4 - Paint 3
5 - Post Pictures of 4
6- most importantly - get some games in.
