Hi

I was just thinking about making some buildings and thought about the doors and windows that were once available in 15mm (I think it was either Gladiator Games or Hallmark??? The spirit may be willing but the mind is weak  ;D ).

Any possibility of doing something like this? I know that there's laser cut expensive N gauge stuff out there but I as thinking of something more robust (and cheaper) with a peg on the rear side.

Maybe this sits in the Minibits arena?

Cheers

Have you got a pic of the kind of thing you're looking for?

And no-one link me a picture of a door...  :P , I'm after the style and method used to attach it where you need it!

Try Irregular.

Yes Irregular do some in 6mm and this must be where I remember the pegs on the rear  :), but the ones I was thinking of were made by Hallmark many moons ago (I've attached a scan of an old paper list I found) but it's not listed on the Magister Militum site, I imagine the moulds are lurking around somewhere.

Leon, I've been looking but can't find any pictures, but a web site that describes them says that "These are easy to paint and glue to the outside of your walls" so it looks like they are just flat (http://conspiracyarchives.sr.unh.edu/painting/terrain/jimd.html)

Hmmm, we could do something like that easily enough.  I can knock up the shapes on the laser machine, and then we could mould and cast them in metal.  I'd have to play about with it though, to get them thin enough to look right in 10mm, but not so thin that they won't cast properly...  :-\

I would have much interest in 10mm doors and windows for scratch-building houses and shops.

I'm interested.

The frames needn't be 'wafer-thin' (as the waiter said to Monsieur Créosote). You glue them on, then you plaster the rest of the wall with PVA, paint, or.. well, with plaster. Then the frames won't stand out anymore.
