2025 - How Did We Do?

As the end of the year approaches and I sit entrenched in Christmas flu, it's time to ponder what we've ticked off our To-Do list for 2025.

10mm ACW Additions - SUCCESS!
These were all done and released as planned, including a load of additional Plains War codes too: https://www.pendraken.co.uk/10mm-19th-century-americas

10mm WWII Artillery crews revamp - SUCCESS!
All done as well, adding over 150 new codes to our extensive WWII ranges: https://www.pendraken.co.uk/10mm-world-war-ii

Cold War Commander lists - SUCCESS!
The updated CWC-2 lists were done and uploaded here: https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,23877.0.html  They are currently being added to the Army Builder too, so should be available early in the new year.

New Resin Room - SUCCESS!
The resin production room was built back in the summer and is ready to go.  With our acquisition of Ironclad Miniatures, it'll be getting a lot of use very soon!  John from Ironclad will be coming up to us in the next few weeks to set up the equipment and give us a training session as well.

More Red Vectors products - SUCCESS!
We got a lot of backlogged items released in our MDF ranges, plus some handy extras like Roads, Rivers and Terrain Bases.

Future War Commander 2nd Edition - ALMOST!
After far too much friction, Future War 2 will be going off to the printers in the next fortnight.  We'll be putting it up for pre-order at the start of January too so keep an eye out for that.

10mm TB Line - ALMOST!
The ongoing delays of the TB Line ranges continues into 2025 but I'm determined to get these sorted out!  Techno has been doing some repair work to all of the Ancients sculpts so that'll really speed up the process on these last few ranges.

10mm Napoleonic Russians - ALMOST!
I'm putting this one down as an 'Almost' as the sculpting work is ongoing so it's not a 'Fail' as such.  The sculptor has completed all of the 1805-07 figures which amounts to around 30% of the overall project.  He's now starting on the larger 1811-1815 batch and I'll have an update for everyone soon, including some pics. We're still planning to crowdfund this whole project but I want an accurate delivery timeframe before we do that.

10mm Sci-Fi Expansion! - FAIL!
We've held these back for the rules launch, so I've got 3 new alien ranges sitting on my desk ready to be moulded.  These will be prioritised now that we know the rules are done.

10mm Modern Vehicles - FAIL!
These got scuppered by the Christmas flu sadly, I started prepping them all at the start of Dec but we ran out of time to get them into moulds.  Another one to be prioritised in January.

10mm Dungeon World - FAIL!
No progress at all here, just too many other projects piled up needing attention.

12mm Fantasy ranges - FAIL!
As above, things like the WWII Artillery took up so much time that we didn't get round to a lot of these other tasks.

10mm Bronze Age Middle East - FAIL!
This one can't be started until the Naps Russians are done, so no news here.

Overall that's 5 Successes, 3 Almosts and 5 Fails, so a fairly mixed year for us.  There's some big jobs in there though, things like the WWII Artillery, Cold War lists and Future War rules have each taken up months of time to get done.

The great news for 2026 is that, with our break from the shows, we can really crack on with no distractions.  We'll have a functioning resin room, more time in the workshop and more hands on deck.  So 2026 could possibly be our most productive year everTM!
www.pendraken.co.uk - Now home to over 10,000 products, including nearly 5000 items for 10mm wargaming, plus MDF bases, Battlescale buildings, I-94 decals, Litko Gaming Aids, Militia Miniatures, Raiden Miniatures 1/285th aircraft, Red Vectors MDF products, Vallejo paints, Tiny Tin Troops flags and much, much more!

Lots of great work

As always you are very harsh on progress, glad you are not one of my project managers.

I think the first two fails could happily be classed as almosts

Hope the annual Christmas flu passes soon

I don't see Pendraken progress as success or fail.* If you want to self-flagellate, you could say that your predictions did not pan out as expected.

Pendraken managed the European GPSR Regulations; weathered the vagaries of US tariffs and accommodated the no doubt well intentioned antics of one Rachel Reeves.

This year, at least three companies I buy from have either sold up or restricted their ranges. Pendraken has released how many lines?**

Pendraken is still here. That must count as a massive success. Well done all, and a massive thank you to all staff for their contibutions.***

* ... but where are my bloomin' Amazons?
** You may even have got the TB lines stuff done if Techno hadn't had an argument with the ground. (Get well soon, Phil.)
*** Also my respects to Milady. I imagine her role is supervisory. Her beautifully dimpled hnds should not be sullied by manual labour.

These are both major achievements- many companies have really struggled with these and have just avoided the challenge by not shipping overseas.

Seconded, those first two "fails" are definitely ALMOST!

Still being in business amid the various challenges thrown up by various politicians in different parts of the world is definitely SUCCESS!

I think you have done an excellent job, getting the resin room ready for production is going to be a great step forward.

You have missed customer service which is always a major success!

Looking forward to the Napoleonic Russian none-kickstarter, just have to decide which Russian corps of 1812 I should get.....

The 3rd Army of the West includes the Bashkirs and Tarters, so that is tempting.

To be fair, 2025 was just as bad as 2020 for me, myself and I.
Professionally and personally, these years will be remembered with very little joy.

As always, Leon is a very humble (Pendraken)elf and any of the discerning customers will recognise that in a very difficult economy and business year, Pendraken have managed to continue their journey and even expand. This looks like a good point to start 2026 and I wish all of you, Pendrakens or not, a good and safe transit into the New Year.

Looking at 2026 things could sort itself out at a moment's notice for le moi.

This year's highlights were (for me) the two shows I go, getting my inlaws over and the release of the Vallejo TMMs.

My plans for 2026 are to finalise my AoT and BKC armies, the UW Junkers as well as getting another paint rack from Mr Pendraken. If things go well I might add in the release of my third rule set and a end of year gaming show.

Wonderdog

Psyched to see FWCII nearing publication - I reckon 2025 has been a good one overall, and 2026 is gearing up to be a winner. Taking a break from so many shows seems like a really sensible plan as well.

Looking foward to seeing what comes as the year unfolds!

Quite clearly I need to spend much of 2026 clearing my backlog in anticipation of the upcoming releases. Frankly at least a couple of those "fails" could be just considered "reprieves" for me!
