Hi All,
Does the firing modifier for AFV firing at soft targets apply to AC ? It's just generally only 1 AP which seems light to me so I was thinking maybe it improves at soft targets and moving to under half range...

The +1 under half range applies to all vehicles - it (primarily) represents their Machine Guns - so it applies to Armoured Cars as much as tanks etc.

Thanks Mark.  I get that but what about the bonus versus soft skinned vehicles ?

Hi - you'll need to remind me Amra - I don't have the rules book in front of me - sorry?

Hi - I am now back at my desk.

An AFV includes all armoured cars - so the answer is Yes - ACs get the under 20cm extra +1

Amra

Great ! Thanks.
That makes sense , at first sight 1 dice doesn't seem enough ,but shooting at half range at their preferred target gets that to 3 dice which feels right but not overpowered

It would probably be good to amend the firing modifier chart to " if the unit is an AFV or AC..." (P35), as those two things are completely different in the context of the rules

Maybe - but an AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicle) includes all Armoured Cars.
It's a catch-all term for any vehicle (with a bit of armour) that is not classified as 'Soft'.
So a Universal Carrier is an AFV in BKC terminology, for example.
NB: it also gets the same pluses as any other AFV  :)

In general terminology sure.

But not in the BKC4 army lists - there are specific lines labelled AFV and others labelled AC.

And half-tracks and carriers are VEH
