Hey guys, this seems the more fitting place to drop this, let me know if it should have gone elsewhere.

Been painting for around 30 years, but recently moved to 10mm for insane reasons!
So used to 32mm or larger, this has been a real challenge, especially at making these things look good! Caused me to really step up my terrain game.

First two scenes were done for Pendraken, the rest are me practicing painting this small :D

I tried to keep the infantry and vehicles as Pendraken models, but honestly I couldn't resist the Churchill AT, always been one of my favourite designs

I have some more in the design stage with some Priests and M10 Achilles, but I don't think I've made bad progress in 3 weeks! Though my camera skill leaves a lot to be desired...

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Looking good!  Do you game or just model?

Just a painter, keeps me out of trouble :)

Welcome to the forum, TE. It seems that the skills you developed in giganto scales have translated pretty well to 10mm. I suspect you will have some formidable entries in the 2025 Pendraken painting contest.

These are great. It's unusual to see dioramas in 10mm, but you really show what can be achieved, great use of the space to give the impression of movement.

A couple of small suggestions:
Have a look at decals - to add turret numbers or national stars etc to the tanks and vehicles
Lighting - more light always helps with photography, with 10mm shadows can be quite a problem so having a second light source, or a reflector (just some white card) can really help get light into the shadows to help see the painting.

There is, but the results are uniformly depressing. Just because I'm not very good at it...:(

No Sir. You have found the One True Scale and you are welcome.

I like you dark explosions in the Russian scene.

My only qualm is that the Churchill Gun Carrier looks too small when compared to the Jeep?

My other question (which applies to all modellers) is "what do you do with them all when they're finished?"

Put them away, never to be seen again, like wargamers?
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Well... The GC is printed, I wanted it to be as in line with Pendraken stuff as possible, so I measured a metal Churchill, and used a scale converter to get the 1/150 scale using the measurements of a real GC, then subtracted the difference with the Pendraken model. It works in most cases, 1/150 - 12%, is the same length as the Pendraken model, just a little narrower, but I couldn't tweak that scale without everything looking odd. it works as a one off.

As for where they go... I have two very full display cases in my work room, one is full of 40k and busts, the other has some props, a set of back to the future deloreans my brother gave me for a birthday, and the ashes of my last dog. Could definately do with some organising, but the dogs going nowhere, she's got the top shelf and is staying there! :D
