Be not alarmed at silence over the next few weeks. We're off to frolic in Austria and Germany for a while.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Tschuss to you too (sadly couldn't figure how to do the umlaut over the 'u' though!). Have a great trip and we love Austria and would live there if we could.

Roy

Hope you have an enjoyable time  :)

I just Google search a non-English language word (typed up with a standard QWERTY keyboard) and ask it to translate, and it comes back with it in the native 'tongue'. I then copy and paste. That's how I get around the problem.

Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Steve J

Thanks for this Roy, something that I simply did not consider doing!

Or on iOS or Mac go with Option then U. Or on iOS just a long press on U gets you multiple accent options.

I'm pretty sure there are Windows keyboard shortcuts - but would need to fire up the work laptop to check this - and its Sunday evening so not doing that!

In MS Word, if ghastly foreign words are really necessary, try the 'insert' facility in word and select the letter from 'symbols' - tschüß.   :D

In the meantime, FK, have a great time.  I hope the weather is dry and the beer wet.
