Never exported - even to Warsaw pact countries.
Kept very secret by USSR - never appeared in military parades - very few official photographs.
Even when deployed in East Germany or during the Hungarian uprising it was crewed by the elite of the soviet tank corps and often held in reserve.
Apparently it was also deployed along the Sino-Russian boarder in '60s & 70's.

and I wasn't saying it wouldn't be  :)
Just adding a bit of 'colour' - so to speak.
Ideal for an alternative 1945 type scenario/campaign

Lord Kermit of Birkenhead

The Soviets were not secretive about the T-44, but only produced roughly 250 (acording to Zaloga). They did try an up-gun to 100mm, but the T-54 was avaliable soon after it saw service, it could not do much more than the T-34/85 (also tried to up gun this). Hence no export.

Yes one would be nice.

Interesting that it never appeared at any Military Parades and no Official Soviet photos were ever issued of it.

There does seem to be contradictory info floating  around  on it;  I have seen production numbers given of circa 2000. I suspect the 250 number refers to WW2" production.

Anyway- I think  Pendragon could really do justice to a model of it.
