Well they're definitely Austrian!
The artist formerly known as Dour Puritan!

Hertsblue

The nearest one I can come up with is Herberstein in the Editions Brokaw booklet :-\
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Grenadier

Hmmmm, tricky. They are certainly in Austrian service Dour Puritan, but they are not Austrians.  :oWhat?! Clues would be the officer sash of red, not the standard black/gold wore by Austrian officers and the gold/yellow hat lace, not the standard white of Austrian foot. The icer is the coat of arms on the flag which is NOT Austrian and looks to be that of, wait for it...Saxony.  Not having info on the uniforms they would have worn in Austrian service(as Saxons wore red jackets at home),  my guess is regiment Tiesenhausen, Steinau or Seiffertitz all of which saw service with the Austrian Army. Am I close, Maciek?

Ok, after further digging on the Baccus painting guide I change my guess to Saxon Circle but could be regiment von Rumrod or Eisenach. There, now I'm officially done.

=D>
It's Sachsen-Weimar and Sachsen-Eisenach joint regiment commanded by Rumrod, later known as Friesen and finally Usslar.

Well, guys. It seems that nobody can beat Grenadier ...

Nice! I don't have these answers in my head fellas, it just takes the right reference material and a bit of observation and time. I hope I'm not the only one playing.
I see you positioned the heads of the musketeers at different angles, nice touch.  Where do you get the obscure flags?

maciek

I appreciate, Grenadier that you showed us how you got the right answer.
It shows that everyone who has basic knowledge about WSS can win the quiz. Guys, dont let Grenadier win to easilly !!!

BTW, the flag is graphically depicted in one of the booklets by Kuhn, translated by Hall & Condray.
