Dear Sunray Claus

I was very sad to see there was nothing under my tree yesterday. This is probably because I don't have a tree because a) I am conscious of the environmental impact of trees (real or plastic) and the cost, both personal and national of all those extra lights b) I share many views in common with pre-phantasm scrooge Scrooge and the Grinch before that dratted child got at him and c) CBA.

However, I was looking  forward to some exciting Pendraken news before Christmas, and since none was received, I was compelled to break into the house next door and steal all the little girl's presents. I left the wrapping and boxes so she would have something to do on Christmas morn - I'm not a monster.     

So here, Sunray Claus is a picture of little Amanda on Christmas morning, clutching yet another empty box. 


My bigger worry is that all should be well with Milady, and the princeling and the youngling and, of course the Dark Lord.   

I must agree with FSN in being much aggrieved that Sunray Claus failed to deliver any of the promised Great news before Christmas Day, thus tarnishing the event forever.
 Even the piece of coal i received in my stocking could not revive my shattered Christmas spirit.

I can't help feeling the reason for non-delivery of said "sleigh" definitely falls under the heading of force majeure. An epidemic being a standard inclusion in most force majeure clauses I've been party to.
