Yeah, there's going to be a lot of disruption across the whole postal system in the coming weeks.  These are the dates across the other departments too:

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take further national strike action on the following dates:

- Thursday 13th October 2022
- Thursday 20th October 2022
- Tuesday 25th October 2022
- Monday 28th November 2022

Further dates have also been announced by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of our operation on the following:

Processing, Distribution, International, Collections, Admin:
3rd, 9th, 15th, 24th November and 1st December 2022

Delivery:
4th, 10th, 16th, 25th November and 2nd December 2022

Network:
2nd, 8th, 14th, 23rd, 30th November 2022

I'm sure a lot of stuff is going to get lost in the system, as I've already had stuff fail to arrive and know the same has happened to others, including medical appoinment letters.

Lot of complex issues to dispute. Corporations want to employ casual work force... lot cheaper. Some casuals will be excellent... others, thieving B******s.  I  Know!
Some Full Time , Permanent Contract employees will try do the job, whatever. Others, T***s.
But... there are also, 'REGULATIONS!'

'Failure' to comply with regulations CAN result in Sack. 'Overweight' mailbags... or over 'insurance limit'... not 'posties' fault. Regs or Contracts. Some stuff might be left. Have known GOOD staff... sacked for trying to do best for customer... but... full time contract got rid of as against regs. F/T Job gone... so 'cost' reduced... in line with policy.

A LOT depends on area... BIG cities a very real problem with reliability... depends on WHO they employ... and what they are 'Allowed' to do.

Well we're getting deliveries about every other day at present, which is REALLY hard to explain to out son who has Autism and Learning Difficulties. He is now getting rather stressed as he's awaiting delivery of one of his Xmas presents, which is very hard for us to deal with and so sad to see.
