Thanks Steve.  I for one have seen my share of authentic war 1:1 scale.  I have seen the effect of what we term a 'dice roll' - perhaps thats why I prefer fictional wars that never happened.   The late Dr Chaldler (RMA Sandhurst) was of similar opinion The VBCW is a classical piece of escapism.  The period is perhaps the most attractive of the 20th century as armour evolves and tactics catch up.    A tank MkIV on the table  is always a challange.  I see VBCW as a very attractive 'demo game' - think about the impact of a 'Swineford gap' scanario being staged to an audience in Bath or Bristol ! They can relate to the topography on the template and bate their breath as the Italian CTV advance on those hamlets north of the Avon where they now live.

But hey, each to their own. If you want to wargame  the 21 May 1940 British 1st Army Tank Brigade counter attack at Arras then its essential you have the correct  OAB, and not a Sten Gun in sight.    However, if its VBCW then it very likely that some armsdealer will have unloaded the MP18 and as Vic/Grumpy old Man has argued, the BR2 figure fits the bill.(Battle dress 'blouse' can be painted as a leather jacket or as flannel shirt).

Enjoy the diversity possible via 10mm Pendraken figures ! Dave will be happy to cast up enough for all our games.

To return to the original point of the thread, I would have thought photos of stock were indispensible marketing tools in a mail-order business. After ten years in the retail trade I'm convinced that customers are far more willing to buy when they can see what they are getting - to the extent that when offered a choice of colours or specifications on the same range, nine out of ten will plump for the item on dsplay.   :-B
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Quite right old boy!  And I am now going to order a pack of those spiffing little sten gunners ( Oops I mean MP18 gunners) in my next order.   And despite the best efforts of the Wargames Historically Correct Police, fictional good fun like VBCW and my little South American adventure will continue to thrive.  Wargaming would be a dull place without them.

So, post the images, heat the furnace Dave, and  keep 'er lit!
