I roped in Last Hussar and finally managed to get a game with a "new" project I've been working on throughout the lockdowns. It's a setting for Sellswords and Spellslingers games loosely based on Norse mythology. I am using a whole bunch of old Heartbreaker minis from the early 90s? sculpted by our own little men guru, Techno! http://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/

Nice idea and a good AAR.

Hadn't heard of draugr until I played Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Now they seem to be everywhere!

There is a certain amount of fun to be had running around draugr infested dungeons in Elder Scrolls Online with my draugr polymorph active and seeing characters flail away at my character before realising I'm another player and therefore invulnerable to them and not an unkillable npc. :)

Perhaps the characters need to visit the local theatrical costumiers to help them blend in!

Thank you chaps.

Ithoriel: In Norse sagas the original use of draugr seems to refer to an animated corpse, specifically the dead inhabitant of a cairn, such as Kar the Old in Grettis saga. In 19th century translations of Grettis Saga it is often translated as "barrow-wight", ring any bells?  ;D

It was the name not the concept that was unfamiliar. :)

My English Lit Sixth Year Studies dissertation was on "The Influence Of The Norse Sagas On The Works Of J R R Tolkein." Barrow wights were mentioned! :D

I had the chance to fit in another game in my new Sellswords campaign, technicaly it's game three as I didn't have a camera to hand for the second game.
