Have you seen the Turnip 28 rules and models? It's a bit like Sludge but seems even darker...
Interesting things are happening The main question will be how to stay clear of this next money and time devouring vortex...

I hadn't seen Turnip28 but having had a quick Google it does seem to have quite a bit in common. Not least the use of Perry plastics to kit bash up Napoleonic and Medieval hybrids.

For me this is proving a pretty cheap project so far, as all the figures have come from what I had in stock for another project, I've ordered some bases and 1 pack of Arabic Knights to round things out.

Skirmishers based



Gone for filler for the bases to give a Sludge like look - I'll probably tone the colour down a bit to fit with the base cloth I have.

Rest of the infantry are ready for basing, just waiting on that nice Mr Leon to ship them to me.

Also got some TB Line knights assembled and undercoated.

Dungeon Bits

As Four Against Darkness (4AD) is proving popular for gaming at the minute, I've been working on some more monsters and bits of terrain.


A right old mix of different figures - skeletons and sand orcs and the most numerous, but all sorts of others, including a number of 15mm figures that I got with something else from eBay, which I finally found a use for as boss monsters. Mostly Pendraken figures, with a few others interspersed.



And a couple more dungeon rooms - I've been mounting the parts of the rooms onto 2mm plastic card to allow me to hide the join between parts, it slightly reduces flexibility, but gives a much better looking room, and makes them quicker and easier to move around, as each room is nice and solid rather than 2 or 3 separate pieces.
