Well, back to topic!

LOL! How many times,  late teens/early 20s, did I stagger back from Pub, full of booze and self inflicted pain... to lose myself in the 'Dark Age Epic' that was 'Argus'?
Somehow, it was always 'hopeful' !  :o ;D
Ha!

But, another, less so, but with 'passion' and 'expression'...

LOL!

Tull were better but both good finds !
Tull  'Very eclectic'!  But such imagery!  'Too Young', 'Heavy Horses'...  :)

Also "Aqualung" (my first intoduction to Tull), "Songs from the Wood", "Thick as a Brick" or even "This Was"!

Techno II

Used to have all the 'Tull vinyl from the year dot....Got LOADS of their CDs   (25, from a quick count...including bootlegs) chronologically those start at 'Aqualung'......and finish with 'Thick as a Brick 2'.......(Which is really just Ian Anderson.)

Love a huge amount of their stuff.....But there are a few albums in the collection that are definitely a bit 'so-so'/'nothingy'.

Broadsword & The Beast is a belter !!! :-bd

Cheers - Phil :)

Duke Speedy of Leighton

My dad has all the early Floyd on vinyl, that's how I discovered them.
My mum had the Grateful Dead...

Rumours on white vinyl, Led Zep IV on pink!

Save 'em, Will.

99% of my vinyl went to landfill, when we moved.

Only Floyd vinyl I've got now is a direct cut/half speed master of DSOTM......And it's been in one of the sheds, so long, it's probably completely boggered. (Sic) ;)

Cheers - Phil. :)

1972
I'd expand that purchase list with:

Black Sabbath - Vol. 4
Blue Oyster Cult - B.O.C.
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
Hawkwind - Doremi Fasol Latido
Lou Reed - Transformer
Status Quo - Piledriver
Thin Lizzy - Shades of a Blue Orphanage
Uriah Heep - Magician's Birthday

I may also have bought Slayed but not sure that's cool to list  :o

In 1972 I owned one record a Pinky and Perky flexi disc - which didnt play properly as the idiot postman had manged to damage it by folding it to get it throught the lettter box.

Got a big cabinet jammed solid with LPs/singles... will probably never get played again... my crappy stereo hasn't been used since mid 80s!  :o
Ma's stuff from late 50s, plus film themes, Military Bands and MY later stuff... Skynyrd, Eagles, Outlaws, Floyd... and odd LPs/singles from various rock/ metal in the late 70s. Probably scratched to bits.
Think 'Jake The Peg' and 'Lost A Mammy' single still there! LOL!   ;D
Annoyingly, the record that I DID have a hunt for, couple years back, couldn't be found.  :'(
Had a 'Doctor Who' adventure from mid 60s...with Daleks... and, maybe, a City on stilts? Thought it might have been 'worthabit' to Fan/Collectors. But... a big box of 'kids stuff' went to a record shop 2h for a couple of quid when a student!  :'(
