Sorry for your latest loss Phil, Loosing pets is never easy.

We got two cats back in 1995 that lived till 17 and 19 years old, then a rehomed replacement who was only with us for a couple of months before he suddenly passed on  :(

Thanks, Guys......Definitely a downer. :(

He's the 'longest lasting' of all the mutts we've owned, and we felt that 2021 would more than likely be his last year.....But it was all very sudden.

Phil.

That IS true.

It's worse watching one of the animals slowly 'losing'.

Cheers - Phil.

Yeah, SO true. :( And there the appalling 'Command Decision'... BUT, Vets aren't  always 'riight.'

(I may have already recounted this, but...)

Before MY time, a Terrrier got hit by car. Lost use of back legs.  Vet said "Put Down". Grandma vetoed..." Look at his eyes".
Couple of months, no change. Then uncle brought in  a 'big pup' Boxer dog!
'Invalid' Shat itself.. and started to try to get up!  ;D
Result... they ran around together for a few more years!  :)

My time... cat 'at Death's Door'. Vet tried to insert Thermometer.... couldn't catch the cat!   ;D
Another three years... until another 'Command Decision'... 'collapsed lung'.  No Chance, so decision made... But, HE DIDN'T WANT TO GO. I will ALWAYS wonder if I made the 'wrong call'... BUT, such is life.  :(

You have had quite a rough year with the animals, Phil. You have lost quite a few.
