We got this bit of kit from the designer today.  We weren't entirely sure what it was, but after a quick Google, we found out that's a rather interesting piece, certainly not something you'd want to get in the way of!   :D

For more info on it: http://www.sunewad.dk/espingol_eng.htm

Caliver do a very good book on this period - full of uniform plates and descriptions. Some of the German states infantry look remarkably like Napoleonics as they are still wearing short tailed tunics and Shakos - some bell-topped and some stovepipe. A mixed German force up against Danes would look very impressive.

We've got another load through for these, with figures to cover some of the German States.

First up though, is a couple of Danish in kepi, in a couple of different poses:

Then we've got the Hanoverians:

The Bavarians:

And the Saxons:

These should fill the German foot codes out nicely!

Good or bad?  The photo isn't great, I must admit.

I have a hankering for Bavarians - just which war to go for, 1848, 66 or 70?

Or all three  ;)

When are we gonna see some new Napoleonic Austrian cavalry?

:P :P :P

We've just about finished this range now, aside from another artillery piece, there's nothing left on the list for this one.  This batch takes care of the rest of the German troops:

Brunswickers:

Volunteers:

Hanoverian Dragoons:

Bavarian Chevaulegers:

And also some handy Generals for both sides:

Volunteers would blend in for the 1870 Franc Tireurs to give that pack a bit more variety - nice stuff
